Imperial grandeur at the Anttolanhovi Manor. The Anttolanhovi Manor has been the center of the town's progress ever since the 1600s. The main building was built in the 1890s and remodeled in 2001. The most exciting phase in the Manor's history began in 1917 when it was purchased by Prince Alexander Demidov and his wife Natalia. The legend has it that it was also meant to accommodate the Czar and his family on their flight from Russia. The Demidov era is still remembered with great warmth. All rooms are decorated in the manor style with beautiful wooden furniture and elegant textiles. Hotel guests have free access to the hotel sauna and lounge with a fireplace.
Restaurants The Princess' touch is seen on the menu of Café Natalia, which combines local ingredients and Russian cuisine. The Café is open daily between July 2 and August 14, other times by reservation for groups.
Other services A lighted nature trail and a shelter. Fishing available on a pond or Lake Saimaa. A sauna by the lake and a beach one kilometer from the Manor. Guided canoeing, cycling, and hiking trips available. Water color and writing classes at the Manor. HoviArt Exhibition July 2-August 28, 2005.
